I love my new job!

I guess it's the first time I'm saying this. I dunno if it's because it's just the beginning or not.

There's lots of politics between departments. My boss simply just can't get along with his neighbour. Luckily they're separated by the divider. =P For me, I'm used to ignoring these kinda politics. "Just listen and don't bother about it can already." This is what I believe in.

The whole office is still using super old computers. My computer takes ages to start up... My email seems to take forever to start. Everyone's monitor is still the old fashion kind. The one which takes up a lot of space with its big backside.

When there's work to do, there's really work to do. You work on them until you forgot about the time. When there's nothing to do, you'll feel like the hands of the clock just wouldn't wanna move at all! Now, I've learnt my lesson. Whenever I feel bored, I'll look for my boss to say the magic words... "Henry... I've got nothing to do already.." After saying those, even if there's nothing for me to do, he'll dig and find something for me. Hee..

It's only through all the work I've done, I've managed to learn alot. When there's a small price change in only one component of the tour, we have to go through a BIG cycle on our end. First, we have to see how it will affect us. Then, costing have to be done. We have to get 4 signatures on that sheet! So, you'll be like going round the office to get the autographs of the 'idols'. When it's approved, we raise a form to graphics department for them to change the posters, booklets, lightboxes, etc. Another form has to be submited to the IT department for them to update the website and the ticketing system. When everything is in the progress, meetings have to be held to inform various departments of the changes. Emails have to be sent and printed out for the seniors and staff at the counter.

So much work has to be done just because an attraction has a $2 increase in price! It's troublesome but fun and exciting!

I really feel like learning how to allocate tour hosts for special tours and planning of roster! It seems so fun but nobody is free to teach me at the moment... =(

Tommorrow is our Orientation Trip! My whole department except Boss is going! All play till 4pm! Hehe...

Everyone has their right to dream, don't they?

Where's mine?

Oh yah... I forgot...

I've tied myself down with commitments that restricts me to dream...

How I wish my work requires me to fly around...

Can I make travelling my job?

No.

I've still got my other commitment... school...

Stupid

After my last day @ Tiong, I went for movies with Hidayah at Grand. We watched Definitely, Maybe.

The show was not bad except there's this guy sitting beside me, kept shaking his leg and tapping his leg. Usually I don't really care if strangers shake their leg. I'll only think it look ugly. But after tolerating for about 1 hour, I've reached my limit. I turned to his side and said, "excuse me, can you stop shaking your leg please? Because when you shake, the chair shakes too." =P

After our movie, we had a chat with Raymond. Seems like stress has made him lost weight. So poor thing...

Hidayah fetch me home with her bike. It's my second time riding a bike leh! =D

Riding a bike feels so COOL! =P

It was the last day of attachment for Shu Hui. We went TCC @ Marina at Keppel Bay. It was a very romantic place with fabulous scenery!

When we're there, we behaved like tourists. Steven kept asking us to relax and stop acting like 'shua gu'.

I ordered this pasta... dunno wat garlic chicken something... At first, it was nice. Then it was okok... Then, I decided not to continue finishing it. =P The snacks, chicken wings and shrooms bites, were delicious!

When Steven said he wanna order macaroni, the rest kept laughing at him, calling him xiao di di. Haha... Poor thing...

After our main course, we had dessert. We had Dark Devotion and our special order of Cocoa Mosaic. Meifang knows the staff there. That's why we could have a special Cocoa Mosaic! Hee... When we're having our dessert, we made quite a bit of noise. =P

After dinner, we walked back to Harbourfront. It was a nice 15min romantic walk back...

Wah... I really feel like going back there again...

I was just too suay....

It was raining so I decided to leave on time. The cable car is already slow. If the rain get any heavier, I'll be stuck in the cable car again! =(

When I was at the station, I was told my friend was in the cabin in front of me. Curious, I went to the front to have a look. It was the HR girl.

When our cabin was about to leave the station, Henry called me and asked me to head back to the office because he needs to get a file from me. Just then, I heard a click sound. The cabin's door was closed! There's no way I'm able to get off the cabin to walk back to the office!!! So.. I sat all the way to Harbourfront.

On the way there, we saw lightning!!! It was like just in front of us! So scary!!!!!

When we finally reached Harbourfront, I jumped down the cabin, dashed across the station to the other said and hopped onto a cabin back to office... =(

After I'm done, I managed to see this kinda night view... It's the only nice picture I took because of the water droplets on the glass...

When I was taking this picture, I rested my phone on the window. I was afraid that my phone will drop out of the window.

Ahhhh... Any suggestions on how to increase sales? I've gotta think harder... All I could think of is to upsell. What else can I do at my counter??? Haiz... Meeting on Sunday to discuss this... Sianz...

Today, as usual, I've gotta go Beach Station to endorse SOS tickets. I feel like going for the show myself! Ticket price is gonna increase to $8.00 starting from 1st June... =(

Anyways... Back to me endorsing my tickets...

I went to the luge counter to exchange for tickets. When I took my purse out, I saw something flew out. It's my drawer key! I was shocked! My key dropped into the tiny gap in between the wooden floor planks! The counter staff said there's no way they could lift up the planks. All I could do was to look at her helplessly and then to my key which is 'hiding' beneath the wooden planks. She said she'll ask some guys up to help me get my key.

After waiting for quite some time, someone came up. Together, we tried to look for my key because by that time, I've forgotten which gap did it dropped into. =P We looked in between the gaps trying to find my key. He said, "I saw 3 $1 coins! My dinner settled already... But I never see your key leh." I took the torchlight and shone around. I can't see my key too! He tried to dig around using a straw and scotch tape. "My key is kinda small..." I told him. "Wah... That makes things harder..." He said. He managed to get some coins out but not my key... -.-

Later, another guy came with some wire. Together, they tried to look for my key. Finally, the first guy with sweat dripping from his forehead said, "I tell you what.. You go back then duplicate your key can already." I thought of that too but I didn't want to because that kinda key is very hard to duplicate.

"I saw it already!" One of them said. I was like half believing them because throughout, they kept saying that but it was another coin they've found. So I asked them, "Issit really my key or another coin?" =P

It was really my key!!! I kept thanking them!

So... Let me conclude... The Luge staff are crazy but when they wanna help you, they'll help you all the way. Thanks Dizzy, Farah and sweaty guy... =D

Fri maybe I should go down to thank them again... =P If I see Dizzy, maybe I can Luge down for free! Hee... =D

Hmmm...

Ms Teh and Henry are back in the office. The freedom but boring days are over. I've to say "bye bye" to the days where I'm able to run off to Sentosa. =(

Call me crazy but I think today was actually quite fun. After 1 hour plus of meeting, I was taught more things. There were lots of things for me to do! And I enjoyed being burried under all the work... =D Since I've finished my stuff today, I guess I'll be bored tomorrow... Zzzz...

Psst... I managed to slack at Sentosa for 10-20mins. I just stood at the counter instead of sitting down because if I do so, I may not wanna go back! During my 'stay' there, I keep eating their ruffles! Yummy! =D

After taking the SkyRide quite a few times, I wasn't that excited about the scenery. Now, whenever I'm on the SkyRide, I'll automatically take out my book and start reading. I've actually mastered the skill of ignoring what others may think of me on the ride! Especially the Luge staff... -.-

Lastly... Let me hao lian!! I got Islander Card!! Leon issued me one. Actually I really don't see the use of me having the Islander Card. I don't really go to Sentosa except for work purposes. Everything is expensive there...

Here's some pictures I've taken over the days when I was taking the Sky Ride and the Cable Car...

This condo is at harbourfront. I hope I'm staying there so I can wake up later for work... =P

I feel like going on a cruise again!!

Yesterday was another day in the office.

During lunch, Felicia asked how I endorse my SOS tickets. I told her that if there's ASA card, I'll borrow and take a sky ride down. If not, I'll have to walk down. She suggested that I can luge down and take the sky ride up. Gabriel said it'll be quite funny for a person wearing office wear to luge down. But I'm tempted to try leh... hee...

I managed to find something to do which kept me occupied until it was time for Brian to head back to the island. I was tempted to go with him but I decided not to because I was supposed to endorse SOS tickets with Felicia. It makes no sense for me to go for a short while to gossip then head back to office to pack up and go back to the island to endorse the tickets...

When it was almost time for me to leave, Felicia said last min she had to go to CHC and asked me to help her endorse her tickets. In the end, I went down alone.

At the Beach Station, Shawn keep making mistake when he endorse my tickets. I kept laughing at him... Who asked him to curse me on my way back yesterday... =P When I was walking back, I think I saw the legendary Wen En. haha...

Before taking the cable car back, I went to the tour desk to sharpen my pencils. Hafiz, Vernon and Ming Zheng were there. They thought I went all the way to the island just to sharpen my pencils. -.- I not to 无聊 lor. I just shun bian sharpen only...

I left with Vernon and MZ. Before I left, I laughed at Hafiz.. "Haha.. You alone now..." =P

Oh.. I met Vernon's girlfriend Harbourfront MRT. She's quite nice and friendly. =D MZ and I took the train back together. He said if I need someone to talk to, I can just go down to the island to talk to them. Wahh... I was kinda touched when he said that. At least I knew that my tour hosts support me... =D

Yesterday, I was Tour Desk for half a day. Mainly, I was talking to Nur and Michelle. =P But I did do some work hor... I learned how to sell Cable Car tickets. I actually enjoyed printing tickets... =D

Cable Car stopped a couple of times. I told Nur and Michelle that I sit Cable Car so many times nothing happen at all. They complained that it happened to them many times before.

Today, when I was travelling from office to Sentosa, the cable car stopped!!! Luckily it was only for a short while. After a while, it started raining heavily. Nur kept saying that she like to take glass cabin during this kinda weather. -.-" It's very scary you know!! When you're in a glass cabin, you'll get a very good view without being blocked by the wooden parts. But when the weather is very bad, it looks like Genting when you're out there. You can't see the cabin in front of you! Everywhere is hazy...

When I was ready to go back, I took the cable car back with Meifang. Both of us were afraid that the cable car will stop halfway. At least if it really happen, we have each other to keep company. Anyways, on our way back, it didn't stop at all.. but we took a long time to get back because the cable car was travelling at an extremely slow speed. Zzzz...

By the time we got back to the office, it was almost time to knock off. I slowly went for a drink, then the toilet, then pack up.

Then I was back on the Island at the Beach Station to endorse my tickets again. This time, the first thing I did was to complain to them. I said if they allow me to endorse 2 days, I don't have to go back again. =P Before I left, that stupid Shawn said, "Scarli your cable car stop again." -.-

When I was going back, the cable car stopped again!!! Why am I so suay??? Luckily this time, I took with this guy. We chatted on our way back. At least I wasn't so bored when I'm dangling in the air... =D

It was still alive yesterday... I patted its head before we went to bed... Not realising it was going to be the last time.

On Sunday, my mom brought back an injured bird. She put the bird in a small pail with cloth so it'll feel comfy. Yesterday, my mom got a mattress for the bird.

She put the bird near the window so that the parents of the bird could bring it back.

Last night, it kept trying to flap its wings. Seems like it was ready to fly.

This morning, I wanted to have a look at it. But I realised that the pail was gone. It died when we're sleeping.

My mom said its parents came to see it. They kept chirping. Wonder it's true or not...

On my second attachment to JS Ticketing Counter, I was reluctant to go back to office. Clinton said I can go back at about 4pm but I stayed there till about 530! =P

Tomorrow I shall ask Azman if I could go to Sentosa to learn ticketing... =D I hope he'll agree...
